I'm a language specialist with MA degree. I have experience working both as a translator and interpreter (English-Russian) for over 5 years. Also I have worked for over 3 years as an Internet Search Quality Assessor for a major web search engine. My interests include Applied Linguistics, English Semantics and Machine Translation. I spent more than 3 years in the Seattle Area, WA to improve my language skills and to work on my postgraduate paper, which was dedicated to the quantitative side of verbs in the English language. I'm attentive to detail and able to work on my own with good results.I have a long experience working as a freelancer in the translation field and taught English at my alma mater for about 2 years, which helped me to develop good communication and teaching skills.
In the the winter of 2008 I started a heated debate with my friend Tom over how the internet is revolutionizing the way we work and socialize with one another. Tom was an executive accountant in an established multinational and I was a budding online freelancer with talents and skills that circled around copywriting, content writing, web copy, articles, e-books, landing page content & optimization, user interface design, search engine optimization, Social Media, Internet Marketing in General. To prove my point, the following day I signed up with Odesk and within the next couple of days I had bagged my first Job. My online freelance career was ignited. I was excited and thrilled as my wild imagination started to paint pictures of a life with no boss, no office and no cubicles. I was fascinated by the idea of living of my creative writing talents and skills. Since my first assignment two years ago I have grown a lot wiser with my expectations and a whole lot better at churning out creative, fresh and courageously unique content for my clients. Even though I have over 5 years of corporate experience, I am happy to have kissed the corporate life good bye and to be able to earn a living by doing what I love - writing. PS: Tom was laid off three months ago. He has realized that change is the only constant and we are currently trying to sell his accounting services online - today our shared desire for inspired ideas has made us inseparable and our enthusiasm is nothing short of infectious
I am English, French, Spanish translator with three years of experience in translation and interpretation inhouse and 2 years as freelance translator. I have researched and written the web content and articles for many clients. Can you really judge a book by its cover? Forget Oscar Wilde. If you are in a fix and want some interesting quirky copy, you need DC! The twists come thick and fast, the false trails are cleverly laid and the surprise developments are genuinely unexpected. DC always delivers. But don't take my word for it see what the press says…"A master of website copy. Rides the crest of a web surfing content tsunami". Rolling Stain magazine."DC can't be beat for sheer page-turning tension. Unputdownable". The Irish Chimes."Ironic honesty, jargonfree technospeak, top of the pile when it comes to informative fluff" NY Items.
Since this notification on the right side warns me to keep it short and simple, I will try to do exactly that. My name is Lejla Nuhanović. I live in a small, but adorable heart-shaped Balkan country, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have a bachelor degree in English language and litearture and I am currently finishing my master's studies in translation at the Faculty of Philosophy in the capital Sarajevo. Nevertheless, I have been working as a translator and journalist for a news agency (Federal News Agency-FENA) for two and a half years now. This experience allows me to develope and bring to perfection my skills in writing, translating, interpretation, proofreading and editing various types of texts, from economical to science topics. My job requires me to know everything that is currently happening in the world in every aspect, whether it concerns politics, economics, or social developments and events. Also, during my B.A. and M.A. studies, I have become quite the professional when it comes to writing essays and making presentations, so I can be of good use in these aspects too. I am a very diligent worker and, above all, a professional. With the risk of sounding cheesy, I promise that anyone who hires me will not regret it.
