My name is John Burrows - I am self employed and have been running three small businesses over the past five years, both online and offline. My main business is JDB Computing, an IT repair and services business. I primarily perform hardware and software repairs on laptop and desktop computers, as well as a range of other related services - virus removal, data destruction, etc. I have been running this business since 2010, and providing online support services since 2011. The sister business of JDB Computing is JDB Media, a web and print design business. While the bulk of my experience lies in PHP, Wordpress, Opencart, Prestashop and Linux server administration, I also deal with print design and typesetting, including the typesetting contract for a local newspaper. The third business I run is a jewellery company - currently called Maelstrom but soon to be changed. This grew out of a hobby, as I have no formal qualifications, but am very interested in the shaping and forming of metals, particularly casting in copper, silver and pewter. Nowadays these are somewhat rare skills, with most precise metal work being done either by extremely high end jewellers, or overseas.
