I am looking to put my skills to work in creating high quality mobile games for iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire, and Nook Color. I was lead developer and manager for multiple apps and games for iOS and Android mobile devices. One of our games is Burst! (http://wickeyware.com/games/burst/). It is a physics based puzzle game written in Objective C on XCode. It uses Box2d as its physics engine. It received over 400,000 downloads on the App Store. Another game is called Jetpack Miner. It was written in LUA within the Corona SDK platform. It was designed to be a huge tile-based world with destructible blocks with realistic physics and also run on nearly all mobile devices. A single game can consist of up to 160,000 tiles in a randomly generated map.(http://wickeyware.com/games/jetpackminer/). We also built apps. One popular app we developed was for keeping track of volleyball stats. It was designed for iPad only so that the entire tracking system could be on one screen and replace a typical score pad. It used a SQL Lite database accessed via Core Data.

I am based in San Francisco and have worked remotely with clients and startups across the globe. The applications I create are guaranteed to be polished, on time, and cost-efficient. Different clients have different needs; sometimes people are as different as the apps we create. That's why I custom cater my development process to fit your needs. Whether it be timesheets, code samples, SCRUM meetings, or a weekly Skype chat with your boss, I will manage the project in the way that makes you most comfortable. Communication is key, and I pride myself in creating strong, collaborative relationships with my clients.
I love developing designs or initial concept designs for games including game play. I also work with generating game scripts and storyboards creating the visual aspects of the game at the concept stage; using 2D or 3D modelling and animation software, such as Maya, at the production stage producing the audio features of the game, such as the character voices, music and sound effects.

My name is William Anderson, a.k.a. Bill and I have been a game developer, product manager and senior designer for well over two decades now, having worked in-house for many of the top developers and publishers in the world. A US and international business consultant, designer, writer and ghost writer, contributing game development articles to industry books and web sites. I first started designing and programming video games back in the 1980’s, but got my big break in in-house game development when employed by Virgin Games in Irvine, CA. My first published title out of Virgin was “Global Gladiators” for the Sega Genesis, which became Sega’s 3rd Party Game of the Year. From there I would go on to design the gameplay for “Cool Spot”, “Jungle Book” and the block-buster “Aladdin”, which to date holds the record for the shortest development time for a hit title, that being less than 4 months and the most sales on a single platform, over 4-million units worldwide. Later I would go on to lead the game play development on “Abes Oddysee” and then over to Capcom to lead the game play design for “Maximo Ghost to Glory”. Just to name a few of my past hit productions. If you have a project you need help with then please feel free to email at Will@AwakenGames.com . Put over three decades of game development experience to work for you today! Please stop by www.AwakenGames.com for my Portfolio of work over the years.
I am an English native speaker and writer who has written a large number of novels. For the past two years I have also written a number of short stories as a freelance writer for a gaming company in Florida. In the past seven years I have taught high school Physics (among other things) in both Texas and now Florida. Before that I designed video game with a focus on writing dialogue and storyline. Over the past ten years I have done a number of professional editing jobs that included everything from term papers, memos, and advertisements to full length novels. One thing that drives me as a writer is continual education to improve my writing skills. I have taken a number of writing classes through various media including classes on self-editing. I also maintain a blog that has an established viewership. My goal as a writer is to continue to publish novels, expanding that into a full company that includes multiple authors, video games, movies, and other forms of entertainment and informational media. In the short term, I would like to expand into the freelance market further to help financially facilitate the expansion of that company.
