I am an expert data scientist. I have academic and industrial experience in machine learning and applied statistics. I hold 2 MSc degrees (awarded with distinction), and I am currently finishing a PhD in machine learning and applied statistics from one of the best institutions in Europe. I am familiar with both statistical methodologies (such as linear regression, generalized linear model and logistic regression, clustering, mixed effects, models for time series such as ARIMA) as well as machine learning/data mining techniques (such as neural networks, decision trees, support vector machines, Gaussian processes and deep learning). Throughout my 5 year experience with the sector I have analyzed tons of datasets from various different domains (from business, to sports to text). There are two things that I believe set me apart from the competition: 1) My breadth of knowledge. 2) My communication and reporting skills. Feel free to contact me about any data-related problem.

I am a data scientist with a degree in Computer Engineering and a minor in Economics. Currently looking for jobs in the fields of machine learning, data mining, data visualization, natural language processing, text classification, document clustering, information extraction, and web scraping. Also have experience in mobile and web design. I am new to oDesk, but am a hard worker and am looking forward to helping you!
I have experience developing software and computer models for numerical simulations and calculations. I work quickly and independently, providing excelent results in short time frames. I worked for a large automotive firm developing hydrogen fueled vehicles, and has consulted a number of egineering companies. I have also developed my own products including a software library for thermo-fluid simulations and a temperature controller based ont AtMega chip.
I've been a research scientist in mechanical simulation for almost ten years the biggest French research center, the CEA. During these years, I've developped high performance, real time, mechanical simulators using mainly C++ and cuda. My job was to implement state of the art algorithms as efficiently as possible, to ensure the best performances on common hardware. Therefore, I'm very familiar with parallel programming, using OpenMP, intel TBB, as well as CUDA and OpenCL. Aside from my research job, I've also teached GPU programming at the university, for master degrees. Currently, I'm working as a research engineer in a French company, in a very different field. I'm contributing to develop a project portfolio manager in LISP ! This involves less theoric work, but allows me to contribute to challenging projects.
I am a German PhD student in theoretical physics (materials science). I develop simulation- and analysis- software using C/C++, OpenMP and CUDA in order to increase performance significantly by using highly parallel hardware architectures. I have also worked in the automotive industry, developing software for the simulation of engines. I have very good knowledge of math and physics in general. Especially in statistical physics and Monte Carlo simulations.
Married, 2 children. I have been developing web sites and custom tailored apps since mid-90s, working in many different programming languages and with quite a few CMSes and frameworks. Recently I have mosty used Django/Python for apps and larger websites and ModX/PHP for smaller websites. The other area of expertise is custom tailored Business Application Development. Poople who use custom tailored apps mostly spend a significant part of their lives interacting with them. So they must be usable and attractive. Also stable, secure and fast.
I have extensive industry and governmental experience with various physics, mathematical and programming projects using Linux, Python and C. I've done electromagnetic modeling, stochastic modeling, parallel programming, cryptographic, networking and digital signal processing applications. I have a Ph.D. in physics with an emphasis on computation.

Programmer / Computer Scientist, solving interesting problems to make the world a better place! Programming: My current primary programming language is Python; I also have skills in C/C++ and shell scripting as well as some familiarity with Perl, PHP, Pascal, Ada and a number of other programming languages, including PLC stepladder. Computer Science: I have a PhD in a Computer Science field (Artificial Intelligence), so I bring theoretical grounding in addition to practical experience. FOSS Solutions: I keep up-to-date with the FOSS field so as to be able to recommend cost-effective solutions combining off-the-shelf components with customisation and, where appropriate, custom code.
