Would you like to find a powerful Java-dev? If so, please read further... 1. Intentions I'm working as a free-lancer more than 2 years already, and worked > 12 years in scientific and software engineering areas. I'm here because I'm looking worldwide for interesting work related to software development using the following technologies (some or all): - Java 5/6/7 (JSE, Swing, CORBA, Web Services, etc.) - JEE5/6 (EJB3, JSF, Hibernate, etc.) - GWT, Spring, Struts, etc. - And other JSE/JEE-related frameworks - GlassFish, Tomcat, JBoss, Jetty, etc. - JME (CLDC 1.1, MIDP 2.0) and Android - Maven, Ant, etc. - Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL and other DBMS - Some sub-tasks could be related to C/C++ with STL (but NOT the whole project!) - UML and/or Agile Modeling - Well-organized Agile processes - Etc. It would be nice to be involved into software concepts and architecture development. Also it would be nice to have possibilities for applying my initiative and creativity. I'm ready to work as a free-lancer for the beginning up to 40+ hours per week), and you may hire me as a full-time employee as well. I'm ready to move mostly to any country or city. My goal is to continue writing excellent solutions in the mobile space with a focus on native Android development. I have several years of experience as a Lead Developer & System Architect, touching everything from video games to image processing to writing SDKs. My work experience combined with a formal education in electrical engineering gives me the confidence to take on any project regardless of its complexity. I am easy to work with, do not take criticism personally and am infinitely motivated. I am excited to deliver top-notch work for your project.
I have 4 years of academic experience during which I've done many electronics, power, control, technical writing and programming based projects. After my graduation I did some private software projects like desktop application development, C based kernel hacks and ethical hacking projects. I was employed shortly after my graduation so had to leave freelancing work. I've now 2 years of Job experience at a well known, US based Multinational group called Mentor Graphics (Ranked in top 25 in 2013 business informer ratings). They basically deal in electronic system design tools, automotive solutions and multi-platform Linux kernel development. In programming and algorithms I've experience with multiple languages C, C++, shell scripting and OpenGL 3.1, sorting, lists and arrays traversing, code optimization, finding solution to constraints, program logic development, pseudo code, time complexity calculation. Further experience in testing embedded hardware/software testing, kernel space and userspace code, drivers, netwroking, multiple OS, frameworks, automation, and cutting edge tools. For writing skills I've done project reports, literature and content review, blogging, political, historical and technical report writing. Research proposals, content creation, article writing. I take interest in physics, chemistry, astrology, social sciences, history and a vast array of other fields which give me a huge resource of knowledge to write about almost any thing. For graphics designing I've done logos, icons and image design and have good knowledge about digital colors, image formats and designing tools.
I have strong skill with Git administration on server side - installing and configuring Gitolite, Redmine + plugin and writing special hooks. I have also teached developers how to use Git properly, showing them right workflow, choosing Git clients/tools, creating aliases and solving daily problems. I have worked with about 300+ Git repos for one project. I read Git mailing list everyday so I can work with latest Git features.
I am a self-taught programmer who honed his skills at Hacker School. I have worked for the past two years in various industries in NYC, and now am a Web Developer for Dow Jones. I am eager to take on new projects as I'm getting married in a year and need to save up some cash! I am a native English speaker, a quick learner, and a perfectionist. You can be assured of both quality work and frequent communications between us.
