Hello! My name is Jim Taylor. I am currently seeking employment via oDesk for a wide range of positions. In the past, I have worn many hats in the industry of software development. I have designed and written original code, acted as a SET (Software Engineer in Test), as a TE (Test Engineer), and have worked on the design of graphical user interface and the user experience. I have worked in Microsoft Silverlight, and my best language strengths are in C++ and C#. I am also acquainted with Java and Python, have done some light shell scripting in Ubuntu Linux, and have some Red Hat Fedora experience as well. I have experience using agile development for most of my past employment, particularly SCRUM. My educational background is in game design, though I have never held a job specifically in that field. Currently, in my free time, I am participating in the creation of casual game projects for Android/iOS with a colleague of mine. We are using the Unity Game Engine. He has recently started his own studio under the name Bayne Corp LLC, and though we are a new self-starter company, we feel we have a good range of ideas for entertaining casual games on the mobile market. If there is anything else you wish to know about me, please ask. I'm an open book!
