I am a Linux Sys Admin with extensive experience in support and installation of Linux servers and data centers for Infoplace. I have more than 7 years of experience in supporting companies in various segments, totaling approximately 200 servers installed. In this role, I was managing two teams, one with three people in Linux support and other with four people in microcomputers support. I was responsible for client relationships and worked directly with the small, medium and large companies support and critical servers. I have much experience with supporting and creating solutions for companies of all sizes, local and remote, with different distributions (CentOS, RedHat, Fedora, Scientific Linux, Ubuntu, Debian), in various environments and types of equipment. Now I'm living in Brazil, but when I have been in Los Angeles for 2 mounths for vacations, I saw a rising up city in my area, so I believe that a remote job would be the best option to start this process, that can soon live and work in los angeles and improve more my skills and contribute to improve for your company too.

Currently I'm employed by the very successful VoIP provider, where my main duties are to look after Linux server farm. Occasionally I create web user interfaces for clients, and I prefer python for such tasks, particularly I like Web2py framework. On my daily workflow there are times when I have to do DBA stuff, that is extracting and parsing various medium sized (~300K rows) data sets. Mostly this is a combination of MySQL and Python-Pandas. I do my best to replace MySQL with Postgresql whenever I can, as I like it more. I'm quite skilled in writing bash scripts, which I use in my system administration tasks on daily basis. Standard linux text manipulation tools are always on my menu - awk, sed, grep. I have written a few quite sophisticated awk scripts, which save for me a lot time and processing power. Also I'm quite passionate about networking, configuration of network interfaces, editing routing tables, setting up firewalls, capturing packets and etc. Last but not least important, as I work for the VoIP provider I spend enough time in the Asterisk jungle, no more comments in here :)
I am a Linux/Unix engineer. I have a good Network and flexible tuning Firewall skills on Linux. Already more 11 years have been working with Gentoo Linux. About 3 years have been performing different tasks on Unix systems like AIX, HP-UX and SunOS. Almost 45% of time I have managed virtual disks on Storages through the SAN including creating disk and zoning up to extending Unix file systems online. About 30% of time takes virtualisation and deployment infrastructure. Other time takes scripting with Bash, Perl, administration of Oracle or may be MySQL databases. Of course troubleshooting is best theme for me, but i don't have so much time to spend it.
