I worked with each and every version of Adobe, Quark, Macromedia, FileMaker, Apple products and OSes, creating projects for businesses and clients of any size. In many years spent in printing industry I gained typesetting and graphic arts expertise creating projects from design to press, and automating pre-press processes (imposition, pagination, tagging and conversion). Veteran game designer with over 15 years’ experience designing highly successful video games across multiple platforms and genres. Expert user experience creator with an eye for clean, engaging, and intuitive interface designs. Creative and technical expertise seamlessly blends for rapid design, iteration, and prototyping new concepts. Continual involvement in social media, industry trends, and emerging technology. Adept at gamification, monetization, and free-to-play design methodologies.
I've worked professionally as a freelance programmer, as well as a web and graphic designer for over five years, and my personal experimentation in those fields spans the last decade. I have a strong background in a wide variety of programming languages, from HTML 5 to SQL and heavier database programming languages, and emphasize quality in all my endeavors. My core skill set is centered around end to end web development, and I am looking for opportunities to build websites from the ground up, or refresh existing designs. All opportunities in graphic design are welcome, particularly those that seek more creativity and originality, instead of a "cookie-cutter" feel.
All throughout my college career, I have honed my skills as a Web and Graphic Designer, as well as many others. I'm your stereotypical "get-it-done" computer geek, and my most valuable skill is my ability to diagnose and treat problems through research, either on the web or off of it. I am based in Virginia, but willing to do work anywhere. As I wrap up remaining General Education credits at my university, I hope that ODesk will allow me to market my skills to the people who need them most. My greatest proficiency is in design based applications such as the Adobe Creative Suite, but my knowledge of operating systems, networking, programming, computer troubleshooting and repair, and optimization is more than adequate.
