Have some question that requires a statistical or machine learning answer? No problem. As a data scientist with 15 years of experience, I have the technical knowledge and the communication skills needed to solve your problem and, most important, give an answer that you can apply to your field of interest. What I offer to you is a full data analysis/machine learning stack, including: - Getting and organizing your data. - Selecting the most relevant statistical or machine learning technique for your case. - Applying the technique to your data. - Writing a report that explains every step taken and makes a interpretation of the results. All written with enough technical detail, but that doesn't require a depth statistical knowledge to follow. - Assistance in applying the results to your specific field. I can do all this using any or several of the following: R, MATLAB, Python, MySQL. Everybody can apply an out of the shell statistical algorithm to some benchmark data. But I'm an expert in the tricks needed to apply those algorithms to real data.

Hello and thanks for your interest in my profile. I've started my programming path in mid 90th, starting from atari and msdos programming. Approximately five years ago i've turned my face on Python, which now became my prefered programming language and the one i have the most experience with, both in desktop and web development.
I started my career as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and I have 4 years of full-time experience as an analyst working with financial and non-financial data. I was in the Accounting Honors program at Ohio State and I'm a CPA (Certified Public Accountant). The opportunities I'm looking for would involve financial/data analysis, strategic consulting, automation of processes, setting accounting policies, or product pricing (I'm pretty flexible though, so even if a project doesn't fit in any of these categories I'd still be interested to hear about it). I have good experience with: -Financial and data analysis -Business and valuation models -Budgeting and forecasting -Excel VBA macros -Python scripts for web scraping/data mining -SQL queries -Application of accounting standards (GAAP and IFRS) -Process improvement and internal controls You can also check out my LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/adam-tzagournis-cpa/78/467/120

I am a professional programmer since year 2000. My increasing needs of work freedom led me to start freelancing since year 2008, so I can choose interesting problems to solve. I am a polyglot programmer, so I can comfortably switch programming language in a single project. For example, I can work on both Objective-C iOS based client and also work on Python-based server code. My oDesk test results and portfolios show that polyglot nature. My portfolios consist of iOS, Android, and web apps I have developed. Currently, I am interested in programming software for the Web, Android, iOS, and OS X. For web apps, I prefer to use Python programming language and Django framework. For Android apps, I prefer to use its native Java SDK. For iOS and OS X apps, I prefer to use its native Cocoa/Objective-C SDK.
