I have been working as Operations Director at a videogame website called Cubed3 since 2003, dealing with numerous publishers and developers around the world. During that time I have been asked by development teams to provide voice samples for their games, such as PANG: Magical Michael and Ragged Edge. I regularly do a live videogame-related podcast chat with other colleagues from the website, as well as writing, recording and editing separate pre-recorded segments, mixing in music into the background or adding vocal effects for the best end result. Additionally, I work as a Track Design Engineer for Network Rail, being with the company since 2006.

They have the ability to soothe, hypnotize, agitate, or energize. They are a weapon to be used with care and precision, requiring mastery of both pace and tone. Because of my experiences in the film industry, both with screenwriting and physical production, as well as having nearly 8 years of experience in the field of copywriting, I have become accustomed to free flowing creative interaction, and concise and efficient communication. I have also come to appreciate the necessity for candor, criticism, and honesty when deadlines and budgets simply cannot be compromised. Because businesses and sales are moving more and more away from handshaking and into satellite negotiations, companies, perhaps more than ever, need writers who can make connections, evoke emotion, and incite action through the power of the written word. People see too much "advertising," and will not give you long to excite them, which is why good copywriters are direct, persuasive and efficient. The copywriter is the gateway to your potential customers. But today's copywriter must be more than that. They must be part psychologist, part public relations. They have to be able to translate complex thoughts and business jargon into relatable text any layman can grasp. They need to be teachers, and sellers, and friends to your client base. These necessary elements that a copywriter must possess are my strengths. I spent nearly 15 years in the film industry, which taught me politics and persuasion. I'm a trained life coach, which means I know how to read and inspire people. I have contracted and currently contract for companies like Warner Bros., Knot Standard, Cheap Caribbean, American Express, IHG, Travel + Leisure, MapQuest, Ariba and SAP, which means I'm very experienced in high-level marketing and ad copy. I was a full time screenwriter for more than ten years, which means I know how to produce dynamic elements with pace, rhythm and punch. I have written for film, television commercials/one hour dramas, and sitcoms. I have penned one sheets, taglines, synopses, pitches, professional bios, web content, proposals, press releases, SEO laden content, Meta Descriptions and Title Tags, marketing letters, business proposals, radio spots, game reviews, film reviews, :30 second television ads, and feature articles. I have been published many times online and in print and recently did some freelance work for Groupon. I believe I can offer you an excellent resource for fresh new material given the opportunity to do so. If you have a dropbox account, I have an online digital portfolio that is quite hefty. Please let me know and I’ll send you an invite, or be happy to mail you a hard copy of my portfolio at your request. I also have an extensive portfolio and resume on oDesk. I thank you in advance for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Christopher Kusiak CLK Industries

Over the past 30 years I have written in every position ever held. Out of college I was a professional journalist, writing features, special sections, news, and every other type of writing associated with a daily paper. In later positions I've done editing, copywriting, advertising writing, script writing, blogging, newsletters, brochures, and have written two published books. In 2000 I wrote Surviving The Flesh Eating Bacteria, published by Penguin Putnam and in 2004 I wrote "How to Build a Miniature Gingerbread House" published by Running Press. I have followed several career paths, but writing has been a part of all of them. My most recent career as a Realtor has afforded me writing opportunities in web site content, newsletters, advertising copy, blogging, and proposal writing. I also keep up my skills with feature writing and a book I am working on. I have been building web pages since 1994 and still maintain several. I have a good work ethic, am organized, fast, reliable and conscientious.
Extensive experience in all forms of corporate communications, business-to-business, corporate capabilities, direct mail, web content, newsletters, article writing, etc. My approach to assignments is no-nonsense, organized and time-managed. I create marketing materials for architecture firms, weight loss companies, sound engineers, agencies on aging, theaters and many more. I have written copy for hundreds of brochures, marketing letters, catalogues, magazines, sales promotions and more for a highly diverse clientele.
I have been writing, editing and proofreading in the news business for more than 20 years. That includes newspaper, television, radio and magazine. My work has won many awards, both in the state and nationally. My research skills are exceptional. Over the past few years, I have shifted to book editing, have done well with it, and enjoy that immensely. My talent covers both non-fiction and fiction, short and long form. Actually, I like variety and enjoy multiple projects, so feel free to bring it on!
As a radio | television personality, and all-out foodie, I've had the opportunity to travel the country for the past seven years, working in numerous radio and television markets including San Francisco, Las Vegas, Tucson, Omaha and Southern California. I have a passion for writing. My interest and ardor for journalism extend to the news, travel, beauty and entertainment industries. In addition, I maintain both national and international press credentials to cover news or events not limited to entertainment, travel, food, sports, and general informational related happenings. I enjoy seeking out and engaging interesting and exciting places that I may share with other travelers. My mission is to inspire, inform and equip others to have amazing trips that are fun, affordable and culturally broadening. I also enjoy writing about the world of entertainment. Whether it be: movies, music, television, sports or events, I take pleasure in the excitement of having taken you along for the ride to experience all things – glitz and glamour in the world Hollywood!
I hold a PhD in Science Communication, and Masters and Undergraduate degrees in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. My studies and chosen fields of research provide me with the tools and discipline to carry out research, produce high quality work efficiently, and meet all my deadlines. I am also a self-published novelist, as well as a published creative non-fiction writer, short story writer, and poet. For the last few years, I have also worked as a web content ghost writer, with over a hundred articles on everything from health to marketing, science to business, sports to personality development. I have made several presentations on various topics, and to a wide variety of audiences. My presentations have spanned the range of basic molecular biology, genetics, DNA technology, forensics, science communication, inter-cultural communication, and strategic issues management. I also carry out research in literature, literary criticism, the mass media, sociology, philosophy, and even music and dance. Today, I aim to do high quality research and provide high quality content on various topics, for different audiences, and for various clients. I aim to build my own company in a few years: one that provides science and evidence-based learning for students in the classroom; as well as television viewers at home. I want to use my experiences in the laboratory and as a science communication specialist in order to provide education and information tools to a wide audience. With such educational and information tools, the public can learn more about science and how they can use it to make day-to-day decisions.
