I've been working with software development since 2003, in a broad variety of software projects, platforms and languages: firmware, mobile and embedded software, enterprise distributed systems and web applications. For the past few years, I've been working with mobile and embedded software development, currently mainly iOS and Android. I have a solid iOS and Android experience, including experience with WebSockets, HTTP Server Sent Events (SSE), Restful HTTP JSON and XML APIs, Maps / Geo Location apps, Parse, sophisticated and animated UI, Unit / Integration tests (and continuous integration), client persistence (sqlite, CoreData), etc.
Over the last five years, building up on my experience of information systems, relational databases, and Object Oriented Programming, I have developed and maintained proprietary web applications combining a PHP or JSP backend, rich media, and responsive frontends using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap, Backbone, as well as a number of other frameworks. I have also worked frequently with either Java or Adobe Flex, on both the backend and frontend. I am completely fluent with either Drupal, or WordPress, and have developed and marketed premium items for the WordPress platform. I also have experience with more specific environments such as Facebook, Android, or Google App Engine. My primary competence lies in complete end-end management of web development projects, and leveraging the power of distributed systems to offset your costs, while increasing the efficiency of your organization. I want to build the web or mobile application you, or your business has been dreaming of. Because I can.
I am a creative, passionate professional with a solid record of envisioning, producing and maintaining technical solutions for business and entertainment activities. I have over 30 years experience working on projects including the Turtle Talk show, Enchanted Art Paintings, and Spaceship Earth remodel for Disney, major projects for Tribune Corporation, including implementing an automated intranet AdMARC reporting system, and developing and consulting on custom apps, websites, and applications, in all major programming languages and operating systems. I have a proven track record of solving difficult problems and am the "go to" person for difficult hardware/software tasks. My motto has always been that if you can think it, I can do it. I have a background in electronics and can also create custom circuitry, and the software to run it. From creating time-saving innovative solutions, to fixing thousand dollar computers with a 22 cent part, I am passionate about serving your software and hardware needs, and can get your project or prototype done ahead of time, below budget, with better results. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your project needs or if you'd just like to chat and find out more about me. Thank you!

I’m a software engineer based in Mexico with almost 4 years of experience. My expert area is native iOS development. I've been developing for iOS since iOS 3.0. Over the last 3 years I’ve worked on more than 20 native iOS apps including client, in-house and own App Store apps. I’ve shipped 3 client apps on the US App Store last year (2014). https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/chippd-instant/id945459248 https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/chippd/id570739404 https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/thirdlove-womens-lingerie/id692635364 Also, I have developed Ruby on Rails web applications and Android apps. In my spare time I like to read and research new software development technologies or code on personal open source projects. I love challenges and I’m always looking for opportunities to do awesome things. I have a BA (with honors) from the University of Iowa (also double majored in Linguistics). I also have a Web Development Professional Certificate from Minneapolis Community and Technical College. I have been developing apps for the iOS platform since 2009. I have also worked on native Android apps, and I have worked on and created several cross-platform hybrid apps using Apache Cordova (or Phonegap) as well as custom hybrid solutions. I am resourceful and self-motivated when finding applicable solutions to programming problems (it's like a fun puzzle...). In the past I always focused on Apple platforms and was an expert on the now antiquated Macintosh Toolbox of the 1990's. I used C/C++ on these old generation Macs and on UNIX boxes while studying computer science (we also used early Java on the workstations). I still have a sweet spot for native objective-c development on iOS. Recent projects have included custom Cordova / Phonegap plugins, applications which make use of bluetooth iBeacons (as well as Gimbal BLE beacons), and in the last year I have worked extensively with Location Services including GPS functionality and Geofences. In the early days of iOS development I worked a lot with audio processing and muti-touch interactions. I never really set out with the intent to become a project manager, but I communicate well and it seems my role in many gigs recently tends to creep in that direction.
