I am 21 years old and I am from Columbus Ohio. I am currently at Bowling Green State University studying to become an Intervention Specialist or a Special Educator. I am expected to graduate next May 2015 and I am very excited. My plan after graduation is to join the Peace Corps, but because of the competitiveness I may have to join the Air Force, which would be just as awesome.
I have an eclectic list of past job experience. I started out as a salesperson for Wal-Mart, at the age of 17. I sold electronics, manned the cash register, and helped customers with their technical questions about products offered. At the age of 17, I also joined the Army Reserves. I served 5 years as an 88 MIC, or truck driver. At the age of 20, I joined the hospitality business, and worked for O'Charley's, as anything from a hostess, to the bartender. I was employed there, on and off, for 5 years. At the age of 21, I started working, part-time, for a loan company, called Republic Finance. I answered phones, input information about the customers into a computer, filed paperwork, pulled credit reports, etc. At the age of 22, I moved to Alabama, to pursue a career working for a newspaper called, The Demopolis Times. I was quickly put to work, gathering customers to buy ads. I would, sometimes, write up the ads. I moved back to my hometown 2 months later, and was unable to commute, so I started working for a car company called, Johnson Dodge. I sold cars for them for 6 months, before being recruited to run their small used car lot. I was promoted, after 3 months, to collections manager, for both of their small car lots. I continued there, until business got slow, and I was let go. After working on again, off again, at O'Charley's, I opened my own childcare business, out of my home. I ran that for 6 months. After I moved out the home I was running that business out of, I no longer had the space to watch children, so I went back to Johnson Dodge, for 6 months, until I moved to Arkansas. I am now a homemaker, who sometimes blogs. I would love to start freelance writing, and pick up on a previous favorite pastime.
