My goal is to help businesses achieve sustainable growth. The way I see it, I can help in 2 ways: creating applications that can bring in more revenue (increase top line) and creating applications to streamline internal process (reducing cost to increase bottom line).
First, I can help you turn your creative ideas into real applications that can drive your business. With a background in business consulting and software development, I excel in building applications that make business sense. Specifically, I specialize in making complex applications simple and intuitive to ensure your users can start using your application in a minute! My favorite quote: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication"
Second, coming from an engineering background, I love looking at how an organization operates and see how software can help bring operation excellence to your organization. This can be realized by building processes, building systems, leverage existing IT solutions, etc.
Now, why am I a freelancer? I want to see the world and stay open minded to new things. I am stimulated by different culture and different ways of work. Currently I'm traveling around in China. Next, I would be exploring Australia and New Zealand.
So, what have I done in the past?
As a consultant, I used to work closely with many multinational clients including Ferrero, SAP, VW, and others. Projects include shaping their regional mission and vision, designing their organizational structure, designing their talent management system, and more.
Prior to that, I was an IT application designer. Clients that I have designed work for Shea Homes (Real Estate), Marriott (Hotel), Digital Chocolate (Social Gaming), and others.
To enjoy myself, I like to read. Books that I'm currently reading are "Good to Great" and "Nudge".
