Would you like to find a powerful Java-dev? If so, please read further... 1. Intentions I'm working as a free-lancer more than 2 years already, and worked > 12 years in scientific and software engineering areas. I'm here because I'm looking worldwide for interesting work related to software development using the following technologies (some or all): - Java 5/6/7 (JSE, Swing, CORBA, Web Services, etc.) - JEE5/6 (EJB3, JSF, Hibernate, etc.) - GWT, Spring, Struts, etc. - And other JSE/JEE-related frameworks - GlassFish, Tomcat, JBoss, Jetty, etc. - JME (CLDC 1.1, MIDP 2.0) and Android - Maven, Ant, etc. - Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL and other DBMS - Some sub-tasks could be related to C/C++ with STL (but NOT the whole project!) - UML and/or Agile Modeling - Well-organized Agile processes - Etc. It would be nice to be involved into software concepts and architecture development. Also it would be nice to have possibilities for applying my initiative and creativity. I'm ready to work as a free-lancer for the beginning up to 40+ hours per week), and you may hire me as a full-time employee as well. I'm ready to move mostly to any country or city. I am an experienced software professional with a diverse background. I have experience in developing standalone, server-side, GUI, and web applications using a variety of languages and frameworks. I am looking for opportunities that will provide challenges in any of these areas, and also those that would allow me to explore new fields. I am self-motivated and determined to design robust and efficient solutions in my work.
8 years of professional experience working with open source Java projects using Popular frameworks such as Spring Hibernate and Struts. I have worked at a Payment Service Provider in the UK and am very familiar with E-commerce. I have also spent time working at a Tier 1 ISP (Verizon Africa)
I've been working in IT since 2002. For the past 3 years I've completed 4 heavy-sized Java projects in the role of team leader. Each project took 20+ man-months. Particularly, I've developed about 30 medium and small-sized Java/.Net/PHP/Python applications and tools for the last year, and countless dozens of tiny scripts. I like solid approach to project management and development. That means that I always discuss first, and then work with that plan in the mind. I don't like when partner is bored, that's why I prefer short iterations and frequent releases. For a similar reason, I like stable and clean software. You can be sure that important places will be documented and unit-tested where applicable. Code base will be kept versioned and commits will not have you to wait. I've been coding intensively in Java for the most time (got SCJP status in 2008). However, .Net, C++, PHP, Python and cross-platform integration projects have been handled successfully as well. Please look at Resume tab for more information.
I am a highly experienced and published scholar with a PhD and over 20 years experience in Writing, Editing, and Research. I provide direct editing help and suggestions for writing first-class documents to publication standards. I edit documents, manuscripts, letters, CVs, and academic assignments to a professional standard. I show clients how to improve their writing and find their own voice and to be excited by the process of writing.
I specialize in Java Application Software Development, Project Management, and Hardware Interfacing. Other areas I've been involved in are Web Design, Wordpress, VPN, CMS, Open Source Solution/Customization and Testing for both Manual and Automated, and I recently added Android App Development in my portfolio. I have endeavored in freelance, business, and team and enterprise solution projects. Primary technologies I use are Java SE, Swing, Webstart, NetBeans, PostgreSQL, third party APIs, OpenVPN, Mysql, Selenium and Android Studio. Other experiences I've had are in the line of CCTV Surveillance and Security Systems integration. Please visit my profile website for past projects I have been involved with. http://bertbatac.weebly.com/ Thanks, Bert Batac
