My main objective as a writer is to provide clear, intriguing and detailed information to the world. I'm interested in most every subject, which means I'm very diverse. I have written non-fiction essays, papers and articles. I have also written, edited and published two fiction novels under the pen name Scarlet Clearwater. My favorite genres are sci-fi and erotica, however, I generally love to write anything, be it technical or creative. Currently, I'm writing a screenplay adapted from one of my novels. Professionally, I have experience in real estate, property management and law. I graduated with an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies. I worked on oDesk last year for many hours, but due to a transfer in PCs, I lost my portfolio and had to start again. I hope this doesn't deter anyone from hiring me, as my work is top-notch.
During the last 3 years I have written and published 7 ebooks, 4 in German and 3 in English. I also wrote a lot of texts for customers and provided many translations ordered by customers in Germany. In my spare time I write a blog mostly about political topics. My core competency lies in the laws and taxes, but i also have some experience with fiction as for example short stories. I am looking now for opportunities to translate and write for you or your business.
As a native English speaker and capable writer/copywriter I am able to put that sharp, creative spin you're looking for in blog articles and web content with SEO. You can expect quality work that's accessible to your readers. I also can do competent Spanish to English and English to Spanish translation work. My Bachelor's of Arts in Spanish lead me to spend over a year in Spain teaching English. My time there left me with a better understanding of the culture connected to the language. Try me out for a quality translation.
Years of experience in german writing for unique articles for german newspapers, websites and blogs. I am seeking opportunities to write in my german language and jobs for customer service in german also.
I'm a multi-published author of historical fiction, with many years of experience in research and writing in a variety of genres, including non-fiction articles, marketing and publicity, documentary scripts, and social media. I have more than twenty years of experience summarizing deposition transcripts for attorneys in matters including medical issues, labor litigation, construction defects, intellectual property, entertainment industry, law, finance, and economics, including much testimony by expert witnesses. My editing experience includes: * Cutting and editing fifteen Shakespeare plays to create perforrmance scripts for the Pasadena Shakespeare Company. * Working with Iranian cinematographer Peter Palian on his memoirs, transforming error-filled transcripts of his dictation into a cohesive and compelling manuscript. *Copyediting romance manuscripts. *Comparing and proofreading OCR scans with original texts for conversion of public domain books into e-books for Project Gutenberg.
My name is Jessica Davis. I love & enjoy writing about many topics. I have a personal blog www.JessEssentail.blogspot.com where I post product reviews & personal musings. I have a very flexible schedule & am willing to write about a variety of topics. I attended college for 4 years studying English. Writing is my passion.
I have the ability to write creatively on assignment while consistently adhering to quality specifications and deadlines. Writing creatively and commercially is a skill I developed over ten years of researching, marketing, and practice conveying my perspective on the human condition. As a professional writer, I have an average typing speed of 93 words per minute, and an excellent command of the English language. I have experience writing short promotional articles, establishment reviews and product descriptions, but I specialize in creative fiction and short stories. Through rigorous and diligent scheduling, I am capable of handling many projects at a time, and find joy in attempting difficult writing tasks that challenge me to stretch my skills.
My life is a writer’s life. I’ve done everything from dishwashing to professional opera singing. They’re remarkably similar. I have one feature, “Enter the Bassett” or “Awesome Lotus” depending on which side of the Atlantic you were on. The Hollywood Reporter at Cannes said that it, “…is destined to become a cult classic.” So far they’ve been wrong. The result was that I became a script doctor for MGM. I worked on a couple of notable films and a lot of not notable scripts. A short story of mine was adapted into a terrible short that played the festival circuit for a year. The director and I haven’t spoken since. I have no doubt he’ll go on to great things because I was hired to adapt a book by a famous director who liked the adaptation but basically wanted it to be a completely different story. He and I argued until he doesn’t speak to me anymore. Ah, the sins of youth… Two of my stage plays have been produced in New York. I’ve ghosted a number of screenplays and I have a non-fiction book that was published in 2003. I just finished my first novel due out very soon. It is an erotic thriller called, "The Portal." I can barely wait to see if everyone thinks I'm the genius that I think I am or if, once again, I am floating down the river of self-delusion without a paddle. I spend my days writing and preparing my Oscar acceptance speech.
I am a 28 year old white male from Durban South Africa, looking for assignments that require creative/critical writing skills. I received my Master's degree in English Literature from UKZN, during which time I gained invaluable experience editing essays and proofreading as a tutor for first-year English students. When I enrolled at University I considered myself primarily a creative writer, but during both my undergraduate and postgraduate career I honed my critical writing skills and developed a strong academic repertoire through studies in English, political science and psychology. I have an excellent command of the English language, and an ability to think creatively and produce high quality content. My master's dissertation was over 40 000 words, so I also have the capacity to write long pieces. In particular, I have an interest in writing about popular culture, the cinema, gender studies and literature. My love for cinema borders on the obsessive (I believe it is a form of magic that is criminally devalued in contemporary culture), and my favorite filmmakers are David Lynch, Michael Haneke, Paul Thomas Anderson and Stanley Kubrick. My literary icons include Jonathan Franzen, Toni Morrison, Milan Kundera, Clive Barker and George R.R. Martin. I love genre fiction, and I strongly disagree with anyone who considers the fantasy and horror genres to be intrinsically 'non-literary', debased modes of fiction. These texts can reveal things about humanity, sexuality, mortality and our relationship to our bodies that many 'well-mannered' texts simply cannot. This list of cinematic and literary preferences hopefully gives some insight into what inspires me and the kind of fiction I can produce. I could conceivably write about any topic, as my postgraduate university work familiarized me with the fundamentals of research. I hope to continue my studies in the future, and my ultimate goal is to complete doctoral studies in postmodern or gender theory (perhaps starting in 2015). However, my goal for the foreseeable future is to produce content for this website that is both superbly written and expeditiously completed.
