I enjoy creating content-driven websites using Python, Django, and Postgres. A recent example of my range of skills is the Arlington Planetarium website (friendsoftheplanetarium.org), where I programmed the backend, created the design and frontend, wrote much of the content, and administer the Linux server on which it's hosted. I am an effective writer, having authored a book on computer graphics and many popular science and tech articles. I also have extensive experience with large-scale scientific computing on multi-processor supercomputers, and data analysis and visualization using Python. I'm interested in doing more work with Clojure and ClojureScript, but I'm still a beginner here. I prefer to contract to complete projects, rather than work by the hour. I want to feel free to wake up in the middle of the night with a great idea about how to make your product better without worrying about billing you for time. Please don't bring me simple jobs that someone else could do.
