Administrative Assistant, Proofreader, Data Proces...

Philippines - Last active: 1 month ago - Tests: 7 - Portfolio: 2

Welcome to my Odesk profile! Here's a short overview of my curriculum vitae. Let me start with my work ethics. As I have learned from a wise man, I always make it a point to wholeheartedly love the job that I am given with. In doing so, I never felt working a single day of my life. Whatever the task maybe, I always enjoy the environment, the people I work with, and especially the compensation it brings. As a philosophy student during my seminary days, I have been trained to think logically and solve problems relatively with ease; my seminary experience also taught me to value time and respect ideas wherever they may come from. In addition to my education, my personal training also allowed me to master the English language, using it as second to my own colloquial Filipino, It became a part and integral to my professional life, as it is I put it to good use as advancement. As a result, I became proficient in its use that I became an expert in proofreading and copy-editing. I have also familiarized myself with different advance English tools, such as The Chicago Manual of Style, The Blue Book of Grammar and Punctuation, and the Little, Brown Handbook. Furthermore, I am also very competent and am an expert in the field of Administrative Assistance, as it has been my forte since I started on my professional life. I have mastered the vital tools needed to perform the duties that it requires. These include proficiency in the use and application of the Microsoft Office, including the creation of simple database and macros and template designs for MS Excel and MS Word. As well as working knowledge in MS Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook. This would also include my self-taught skill in graphics and photo manipulation using Adobe Photoshop CS3. Specializing in administrative assistance also pushed me to become an adept in internet research, lead and candidate generation and sourcing, data entry, data processing (both manual and with the use of optical character recognition software , such as ABBY fine reader). One of my on-going and future goals is to setup a freelancing company of my own that can cater to the needs of start-up and established businesses on the virtual environment. The vision behind this is that my wife and I have always wanted to help others become aware of the profit and joys of earning a living without having the needs of leaving their families for long hours. During my free time, I spend my time with my beautiful wife and reading or telling stories to my two sons’ stories about heroes and their adventures and tales of dragons and mythical creatures and of dark lords and their evil plans, or we just watch the Lord of the Rings from the Hobbit to the Return of King. Now that you know more about me, I would be happy to know more about you and on how I may assist you in your business and projects. Please feel free to leave a message or send me an email.

Data Encoder/ Office Personnel/ Personal Assistant

Philippines - Last active: 08/09/2014 - Tests: 4

Worked for BPO companies as Data Analyst/Associate which require high attention to details, ability to multitask and deliver in good Turn Around Time. These skill set improved my ability to assess large number of details, assuring instructions are followed as per requests of clients, following standard procedures of handling every transaction. My 3 years of stay in this type of job also improved my knowledge of using MS Excel - particularly with formulas, formatting and tricks that were very useful in our daily job. At the same time my typing speed up few notches as we have to deliver good TAT of transactions. Though not through my work- my internet exploring had been more thorough as years past, having able to read basic computer workarounds.
