Seven years of experience in software development, specialized in technologies related to the Java platform. Majority of the developed applications leverage concepts of ORM (Hibernate, iBatis, JPA2), dependency injection and inversion of control (Spring), web services (SOAP, but mainly REST - using Jersey frequently), rich GUI (ExtJS) etc. Involved in other phases of the project cycle beyond the actual development, such as interaction with clients, requirements analysis, and project organization. Comfortable with organizing demos and presentations for clients. Worked both for large companies and startups, always in the international environment. Seeking the opportunities to take part in even more challenging projects by opening to the global market and focusing on freelancing.

Better call Fred. I code therefore I am. I wrote my first program when I was 12. It was on a 16-kB Sinclair ZX-81 plugged on the living room TV. Ah, memories. Professional R&D engineer since I'm 23. Now I am 41. After all these years I think I can program just about anything, from back office to end user GUIs. I especially like algorithmic stuff (I have a research background in CS and computational geometry) and system-level C. But while implementation is only the final stage, design is the most important part in a project. I've been a senior software architect for some years now, so I can help you besides mere coding tasks (e.g. refactoring existing codebases). I also enjoy data mining and analysis. I'm fluent in English but my native language is French, so if you also have translation jobs that involve technical knowledge then I can help as well. I routinely write technical documentation for my daytime job in the telco industry (specifications, design, operation manuals, etc).
