    I am a well rounded recent college graduate from Roger Williams University. In May 2010 I received a Bachelors of Arts in Communications specializing in Public Relations. I minored in English Literature and had a core concentration (five classes) in Chinese Language and Culture. During my four years in school I gained experience working at the Campus Career Center as a Career Events Assistant, where I helped to put on a multitude of networking receptions, career fairs and other events throughout the year. I also completed a summer internship at the corporate level supporting management at Amica, a well known insurance company based right here in Rhode Island. I worked with several teams within the Communications Department putting on events and editing PSAs, as well as, promoting goodwill for the company within the community. My senior year of college I was part of an award winning team that created and implemented a Community Relations Campaign over the course of the month of February (planning it took all year). The Bateman Competition is offered every year to teams of up to five people through PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America). The year I competed our client was the US Census and promoting the new short form to college students and the surrounding community. Recently I began work as a temp for APC by Schneider Electric. APC is a Rhode Island based company that was acquired by Schneider Electric in 2006. It is an energy management and solution company, that provides other companies with energy saving solutions and system back ups. A large focus of this company is going Green and using energy more efficiently. Currently, I work in a branch of the marketing department (which is huge), sorting and delegating the leads that come in from our various promotions, trade shows and mailers to the different representatives that call out making sales. Currently I am looking to supplement my portfolio and resume with new written pieces or event planning that has helped someone out in the real world!  less
