When I was young, my parents bought a computer for the whole family. Contrary to my friends at that time, i did not install thousands of games but thousands of softwares : since 2003 I learn, produce and create with computers. Over the last 5 years, with my studies and my professional works, i developed a lot of digital skills : programming, audio production, web designing, video/photo editing and above all, graphic design. Basically, I could say that I control a lot of softwares, in a very professional way. I studied Music & Popular Music at the University of Liverpool and graduated with first class honours in 2010. For the past four years I have been working professionally as both a composer/musician as well as a sound and arts technician. I'm looking for sound design and/or music composition jobs in the computer game and software industry. EDUCATION: I studied musicology at the University of Vienna (Universität Wien) from 2008 to 2013 and graduated with a master thesis about film music and sound design. Additionally I studied "Computer Music and Electronic Media" from 2010 to 2014 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien), where I learned all kinds of state-of-the-art sound synthesis and manipulation techniques, graduating as "sound artist" with a thesis about digital musical instruments and interface-technology. EXPERIENCES: I have plenty of experience with sound design for movies, working with students from the film academy of Vienna (Filmakademie Wien). Nevertheless I am not looking for conventional film sound design jobs for a variety of reasons, the most important being that I want to work in a creative and experimental way with sound and focus on creating single sound events or atmospheric sound textures on a high quality level. WORKING PHILOSOPHY: I am working constantly on different electronic music projects and try to improve my knowledge on state-of-the-art sound synthesis and sound effects techniques. By applying for sound design jobs in the computer game industry, I am looking for new challenges in an expanding market. Although I mostly work in an experimental way, I also studied classic composition, so - if desired - I could also compose conventional music to accompany a computer game and deliver them as audio- or midi-files. SKILLS/TECHNIQUES: I work primarily with the program Max/MSP by Cycling'74, which is a modular and very versatile program that - compared to most standard music or sound design software - enables you to work with very few restrictions concerning creativity and exact programming of audio parameters. Sounds or FX for recorded material can therefore be modified in a very precise way to fit a clients needs. Nevertheless I am also familiar with consumer software like Native Instruments- or Waves-Plugins (and many more), which gives me the opportunity to work on simple tasks in a faster and more efficient way. As my host program I usually use Pro Tools or Ableton Live, when working with Max-for-Live-Devices, but I also have experience with Cubase and Logic. On a long-term basis I'm looking forward to work in the computer games industry for PC-games and gaming consoles, but I am also interested in creating sounds for mobile apps. Born in Vicenza (Italy), he is composer, guitarist and sound designer. He studies classical guitar with Donato Mascia, Giuseppe Maderni, Giorgio Baratella and Lex Eisenhardt. He degreed in Electronic Music at the Conservatorio “A. Pedrollo” di Vicenza and he currently studies Composition and Classical Guitar at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He’s part of the progressive project Syncage (of which he’s founder and composer), an ambient project published under the pseudonym Mnemoterpe and various other projects under his own name. He played in many renowned Italian venues and theaters with orchestras (most notably the Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico). His creations are meant to be intermediaries between listeners’ expectancies and newer surprises and range over a wide genre framework, where the young composer aims to synthesize his multiple sound and music identities.
I am a graduate of Hampshire College with a BA in music and audio technology. My background is in music composition and audio production. I can compose in a wide variety of styles and am always willing to take on the challenge of composing in a new style. Most of my experience with scoring has been in the realm of games, but I am also interested in expanding into film.
