    My goals are to continue assisting individuals and businesses with fewer than fifty employees address their legal problems, and to continue helping them prevent other legal problems from occurring. I am a lawyer, licensed in California since 1986. During this time, I have represented companies in all phases of their existence. Much of my practice is devoted to helping companies address the range of legal issues and problems that can occur (labor problems, contract disputes, tax and environmental issues, business torts, IP disputes, and the like) through negotiation, arbitration, and litigation. I have also helped businesses draft their initial agreements and organization papers, prepared and reviewed agreements needed for the conduct of their business, and represented them during the sale or winding up of their business. I also work with individuals who wish to represent themselves in resolving a variety of disputes. I help them draft court papers, I coach them on arguments to make to the judge, and I ghost-write letters and settlement documents. This part of my practice is now expanding into assisting other lawyers who have a temporary surplus of work and need experienced assistance. I also have a small trusts, estates, and tax planning practice. I run a "virtual office," meaning nearly all communication will be electronic. For my clients' convenience, I have a San Francisco telephone and fax number. This structure allows me to pass substantial reductions in attorney's fees to my clients, while still providing the quality representation of an experienced and licensed lawyer in California and federal law.  less
