I've a great passion for linux systems and open source software. Since 2008 I'm working as linux System Engineer for a company, which is developing software that is provided to our customers as SaaS. For some clients we also provide installations "on site". This gave me great experience in working with CentOS and RedHat linux, puppet, kickstart, nginx as a proxy server, DRBD, database clusters using PostgreSQL with streaming replication, BIND, postfix, pki-authentication, bash-scripting and others. I'm also familiar with other linux operating systems like debian, ubuntu and gentoo. Buzzwords: puppet, linux, CentOS, debian, ubuntu, gentoo, nginx, nagios, bash, perl, DNS, BIND, email, postfix, postgrey, carp, DRBD, KVM, ssl, pki, x509, iptables, ipv6, PostgreSQL.
Right after finishing my 4 years B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, obtained at the Sapientia University, Targu Mures I started to work in the IT. After some years of work as a developer / software engineer I had the chance to change my role and try out something more dynamic and chaotic which means I started to work as a system administrator. This role allowed me to show what a single person can do with some basic knowledge and passion to clean up a complete development stack, make an order in servers and services so other people can concentrate only on development. After my first steps in administration, a new world was just opening for me which was the automatization of servers as much as possible. After 5 years experience as a system engineer I'm sure, we should automate as much as possible. It really helps to be far away from the chaos of wrongly configured servers and inconsistent service deployments, which in long term could cause really huge troubles. Specialties: • Automation evangelist • Proficient problem solving and technical skills • Practical design, development and architecture capabilities • Ability to learn new technologies fast
