Statistics and Social Sciences have both been of great interest to me, so the field of Social Research lets me combines these two in a perfect manner. Even though most of the researchers have preference towards one or the other, I prefer to be flexible and as diverse job as possible and therefore I enjoy doing both, Qualitative and Quantitative Research. The first one includes formulating the research guide and sapmling, interviewing (in this case, if it's possible over skype, transcribing, coding, analysis. The latter includes defining research method and design, sampling, formulating questionnaires and variables, piloting and final analysis, like establishing correlation levels between different types of variables, or other relationships and checking them for relevancy in theory of social science.
Moreover, this job is always interesting, since it lets me get involved in many different fields and touch many different topics, starting from history, to sociology and psychology and even botany and biology.
I have done several research projects at the university when I was doing my master's degree. I also have worked for Caucasus Research Resource Centers in Tbilisi, Georgia as a researcher. And right now I am involved in a research about a joint project between Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew and Botanical Gardens of Georgia.
Besides research, I enjoy analog photography, You can view my gallery here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/tburdeau/
