I would like to work on designing efficient algorithms and developing software. I am keen to apply my skills on innovative and interesting projects. I've developed several serious projects during my career. They cover 1) High- performance network monitoring tools 2) Machine-learning algorithms design and implementation 3) Domain Specific Language design and implementation 4) Parallel and high performance numerical simulation I'm a Common Lisp/Unix programmer, Linux fan and Emacs user. My main developing platform is GNU/Linux. The main Common Lisp platform I'm familiar with is SBCL and AllegroCL, where each has its own strength. I like programming languages, among which I can speak Common Lisp, Scheme, C and Prolog. Functional programming languages are my favorites, and I'm actively exploring Haskell and Erlang in my hobby time. I have a tendency towards code efficiency so I have a good grasp of what kinds of optimizations the compiler can do on my code. This is especially important in dynamic typed languages like Common Lisp. I also have knowledge about today's CPU-memory architecture and x86 assembly. I would like to go down-to-the-metal if necessary. I can speak Chinese, English and Japanese, with decreasing level of fluency. I'm happy to be a Software Engineer, and I think "honesty, rationality and critical thinking" are essential for any good engineers.
