I was a lecturer and researcher at Universidad Simón Bolívar, in Venezuela, and I am currently retired. I am only 50, but according to Venezuelan laws, academic staff are entitled to retire just after 25 years of service. I was a lecturer mainly in computer networks and researcher in distributed systems and high performance computing applied to several areas. My PhD thesis, at Southampton University, UK, was related to performance analisis of parallel computers. Now I plan to spend my time writing books about computing and networks, probably in other topics too. However, I can spend a few hours a week doing paid, quality minded jobs, such as collaboration in high performance computing projects, technical translations from english to spanish or some kind of job in network or system administration I could do from home. I am willing to do test jobs.
