I'm most at home in the written word and thrive on the impending deadline. That being said, I consider myself a ideal candidate for writing and translation projects. To persuade you, let me fill you in on some of my strengths and skills.
I am a perfectionist, diligent, conscientious and responsible and these traits influence every written task I've undertaken. For example, as an online author, I kept the blog, "The Business of Blooming"- an inspirational and motivating site for young women who struggled with issues surrounding eating disorders, mental illness and self-worth.
While working as the personal assistant to a successful holistic practitioner, I edited and wrote articles for her blog and website and her online presence and popularity soared. I was heavily involved in the production of educational materials, too (books, booklets, brochures and charts); these were complete with illustrations, academic references and my own personal flair.
I've also been a graduate student in the Department of Comparative Literature and the University at Buffalo (SUNY), where I engaged intensely with philosophers, such as Immanuel Kant, Martin Heidegger and Plato (to name a few!).
Teaching is another passion of mine and I've created my own literature courses, which included their curriculum, class activities and hand-outs.
The highlight for each of these endeavors, is that each one requires intense research and commitment in the fluctuating role I play as writer. First I learn and then, transmit and share, teach and empower.
I've spent considerable amounts of time in both Germany and Italy and thoroughly enjoy linguistic challenges.
