I've been doing art all my life. My mom was an Art Historian and I grew up loving Italian Renaissance Masters. Human anatomy and portraits are still my favorite thing to draw (other than monsters, dragons, and sci-fi action heros). Howver, other than, local art shows, and punk rock posters, I've only really been doing commercial work for the last 5 years. I love it more than I ever thought I would.

I got my design chops directly from the local music scene, first designing for my punk bands, and later for my folk bands. I love 50's and 60's design, Bluenote Jazz records of that era. I'm also a big fan of dada, and have a great love for ornate art nouveau and old circusy posters.
I got my commercial break when I interned at OMS Photography (www.omsphoto.com). I had some experience recording audio, and they needed a retoucher and an audio tech. There I learned Photoshop and Illustrator and my technique was refined by their great retouching staff. I worked mostly on sports apparel and my obsessive, detail oriented personality finally found a home.
After OMS, I turned to freelancing and widening my skills. My best skill is still Illustration: Photo-Illustration, Vector art, and 3D digital sculpting. While freelancing I've gotten to design video games, helped folks with logos, tattoos, cartoons, etc.
I'm easy to work with, happy to get involved in long projects, and if you need a quality 2D illustration I can get it to you in a day.
