Project details

You will get a Browser Automation which can be deployed to your AWS account which can perform tasks on the web. These tasks could be anything like:

1. taking screenshot of some websites periodically and store them as images in a S3 bucket
2. Do a search on a website, extract data from the search results, and present this data in a format that can be consumed by other softwares
3. Track prices of products or commodities periodically and make entries in a database

Generally there are two outcomes that arises out of this development:

1. Scheduled jobs that are run periodically
2. Exposing an automation as an API, in which case you will recieve an API endpoint which your programs can securely connect to and make use of the automation.

AWS Lambda Python Developer Prashanth is an amazing developer and a real asset to any project. Over the course of his time here we hit him with Python, AWS, Serverless, Vue, RDS, Elasticsearch, SQS, SNS, custom Jinja code templates, and a host of other challenges that met with enthusiasm and completed successfully. As great as his strengths are, one of his best qualities is knowing his limits. While he never said, "I can't do that." he made it clear a couple of times that he was willing to learn, but that another team member would probably be able to complete the task faster. The only reason we're ending the contract is that we're moving him to another company. If you ever get the chance to hire Prashanth, jump on it and you'll be glad you did!

My name is Prash and I'm a full-stack developer. I've got years of experience working in the field, and I love what I do.

It's also important for me that your project is version controlled properly—that means using Git for version control and GitFlow like branching techniques so we can setup continuous deployment. This makes development feel free from fear or anxiety. It also means setting up JIRA for project management and issue tracking respectively so we can keep track of everything from day one until launch day (or even beyond).

Most of the projects I worked on were built in a Microservices architecture and made use of Serverless or Container based stacks (or a mix of both). In these projects I had the good fortune of working on a variety of challenges and was able to wear many different "hats" while solving them—from designing new systems, adding features to the frontend, making secure backends (and documenting them), integrating 3rd-party apps into existing workflows, automating processes, and much more.

If I had to choose one skill that has served me best, it would be my ability to design databases that work well for the application by making use of effective design patterns—for example, using an Event Sourcing pattern.
